Fix Open GL Error

Oh shit having a Minecraft Open GL Error? Want to get that bitch fixed? Well fear not this tutorial is for you.

Bad video card drivers!

Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

Solution 1: Find where ever your Minecraft.exe or MinecraftSp.exe is if you downloaded it from us.
2. Right click on that and go to properties
3. Then in the properties go to the compatibility tab
4. Tick "Run this program in compatibility mode for, make sure Windows XP Service Pack 3 is selected if not then click the drop down menu and find it.
5. Click apply and then ok
6. Run minecraft
7. Still receiving the error no problem proceed to to solution 2

Solution2: Go to Windows Explorer (file viewer) and right click on "Computer" - Select Properties and select Device Manager from the list on the left

In the new window click on "Display Adapters" to bring up a drop down list.
Update all of the components in this list.

TO UPDATE DRIVERS

1. Right Click on the component

2. Left Click "Update Driver Software"

3. Complete the Wizard

Windows fails at Driver look up so if this doesn't work, look up your component on Google adding Driver software to the search. If you can tell me your Graphics card I can help you more.

Try completely wiping the minecraft Directory by: Searching .minecraft and delete the folder

Run the Minecraft application (this will create a fresh install.)

Try uninstalling Java and downloading the latest software from http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp

NOTE: Ensure you know your OS type (32/64 bit) this is essential in choosing the correct downloads for any program.
